Opened in 2000, the
comfortable Sundial Lodge is not quite as fancy as the Grand Summit, but
it sure feels like home - a very comfortable home at that. The Studio
units are good sized (about 450 sq feet) and the full kitchen is great
for that evening in by the fireplace. We see a lot of value in the
Sundial, and particularly enjoy the oversized rooftop hot tub and cool
splash pool. The Flight of the Canyons Gondola is a very short walk
away. |
The Canyons is located just
32 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport, which makes this
resort very accessible for destination skiers. And what a resort it is!
With 8 mountain peaks, 3,700 skiable acres, a vertical rise of almost
3,200 feet, and 5 bowls, The Canyons offers something for every level
and type of skier. At the end of the ski day, The Canyons have several
little shops, restaurants, and après ski venues, but if you are looking
for more choices, Park City's Historic Main Street is just 4 miles down
the road. |
