Inspection of Arrowhead Village at Beaver Creek,
Colorado
 Several
lucky members of the RMV Staff visited Beaver
Creek this past March. Two days of skiing
(outstanding, Village to Village experience) and
a day of site inspections.
When considering a ski trip to Beaver Creek one
has the option of four distinct locations for
lodging. These include Beaver Creek Village,
Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead and Avon. All of the
choices are good, there is no average or aging
lodging here. The difference is cost. Beaver
Creek Village with all it’s shopping end
entertainment options is the most expensive,
Bachelor Gulch is pricy too - while units in the
fancy bedroom community of Avon, are the least
costly. The best value on the other hand is
Arrowhead Village.
 Arrowhead
is the western most Village of Beaver Creek.
Shopping and dining options here are quite
limited, but the condominiums and private homes
in this upscale neighborhood adjacent to the
golf course are outstanding. These units are
very expensive in the summer, but quite
reasonable in the winter. A high speed quad lift
is within walking distance of all the condos and
from here you can ski your quite section of the
resort all day, or opt to ski Village to Village
until you arrive at Beaver Creek proper. The
round trip can take most of the day, with lunch
on the mountain. A neat experience we highly
recommend.
 Our
conclusion: If you don’t need a lot of nightlife
and shopping (or are willing to take a shuttle
for those diversions), then the luxury units at
Arrowhead are the best bargain in all of the
Vail Valley.
So check it out. Ask us to price a package with
Arrowhead lodging and see how affordable real
luxury can be. These pictures are of a two
bedroom condo. The quality you see here is
typical to the entire Arrowhead Village
development – which is to say quite nice indeed.
